Cost Analyst - Garment Industry

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accounting Analyst with a strong background in manufacturing cost control. This role bridges finance and production, focusing on standard costing, bill of materials (BOM) auditing, variance analysis, and margin control for our lingerie and intimate wear business. You will work closely with the merchandising, sourcing, and production teams to ensure financial accuracy, optimize manufacturing costs, and safeguard profit margins from product development through bulk production.

(While experience in the garment or apparel industry is preferred, candidates with solid cost accounting experience in general manufacturing who understand factory cost structures are strongly encouraged to apply.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, analyze, and maintain accurate standard costing models for manufacturing, including detailed breakdowns of direct materials, labor, overhead, and logistics.

• Perform pre-costing and post-production variance analysis (actual vs. standard costs) to identify cost drivers and margin leakages.

• Review and audit Bills of Materials (BOM) and usage sheets to ensure material utilization efficiency.

• Maintain robust costing databases and generate regular reports on cost trends, margin performance, and financial risks for management decision-making.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Experience in the garment/apparel industry—specifically lingerie or intimate wear—is a strong advantage, but general manufacturing costing experience is welcome.

• Exceptional analytical mindset with high attention to detail and strong proficiency in financial data reconciliation.

• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, financial modeling) and experience with ERP systems.

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English to collaborate with international or cross-functional teams.
