Job Summary
PT. Citra Dayak Indah (CDI), a coal mining company operating in Kutai Barat, East Kalimantan, is looking for a Logistics Operations Officer/Supervisor to support the Logistics Manager in overseeing barging operations for Mother Vessel (MV) loading. This role supervises the coordination between barge owners, shipping agents, and stevedoring parties, monitors barging performance and claims, and represents the company in communication with the Port Captain and government inspection bodies during export operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support to Logistics Manager
Support the Logistics Manager in managing and monitoring barges allocated for Mother Vessel (MV) loading
Ensure barging schedules align with the overall shipment and vessel loading plan
Supervision & Management
Supervise and manage coordination with barge owners and barge masters to ensure operational readiness and compliance
Liaise and manage relationships with shipping agents to support smooth vessel and barging operations
Supervise stevedoring activities during loading/unloading to ensure operations run safely and on schedule
Monitor, compile, and report barging update reports (barge status, loading progress, ETA/ETC, etc.)
Manage and review Demurrage/Despatch calculations and documentation to protect company interests
Coordinate communication related to Jetty arrangement, ensuring berthing and loading schedules are properly planned and communicated to all parties
Liaise with the Port Captain regarding MV shipment on board, ensuring accurate reporting and smooth vessel loading operations
Regulatory & Government Coordination
Provide support for ESDM (Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources) and Minerba (Coal & Minerals Directorate) visit duties, including coordination, documentation, and on-site assistance during regulatory inspections
Requirements
Education & Experience
Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Maritime/Shipping, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in barging/shipping operations, logistics, or export coordination within the coal mining or commodity export industry
Prior experience coordinating with barge owners, shipping agents, stevedores, or port authorities is highly preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of coal barging & shipping operations (barging to Mother Vessel, stevedoring, Demurrage/Despatch mechanisms)
Familiar with jetty/port operational coordination and vessel loading procedures
Working knowledge of ESDM/Minerba regulatory requirements and visit procedures is a strong advantage
Strong supervisory, coordination, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple external parties simultaneously
Good negotiation and communication skills, especially in handling Demurrage/Despatch discussions with vessel owners/agents
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and documentation
Able to work under pressure with tight shipment schedules and represent the company professionally in front of external parties and government officials
