Clinical Path. & Blood Bank Analyst Shift Lead

Job Description:

• Directs daily workflow, assigns tasks, and prioritizes specimen testing to maintain fast turnaround times.

• Performs and oversees blood typing, crossmatching, antibody screening, and component preparation.

• Coordinates shift personnel, mentors junior technicians, and verifies technical competencies.

• Ensures adherence to quality control protocols, equipment calibrations, and regulatory standards (such as AABB, CAP, or FDA guidelines).

• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and resolves complex transfusion or sample discrepancies with clinical staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Biological Sciences.

• Valid certification like Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist (MLS/MT) or Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) via the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.

• Min. 2 years experience of clinical laboratory experience, with focused expertise in high-complexity blood bank testing and prior leadership or charge/shift experience.

• Strong assessment and critical thinking.

• Ability to prioritize and manage workload.
