Clinic & EMS Doctor

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate occupational health and accident prevention programs to identify, assess, and control health risks associated with plantation and mill operations, in alignment with ISO 45001 requirements for risk identification and control.

• Ensure timely and effective emergency medical response, stabilization, and referral for occupational accidents and acute medical conditions. Support incident response procedures to minimize injury severity and reduce lost-time incidents.

• Plan and execute preventive healthcare programs for employees’ families, with a focus on maternal health, antenatal care, child health surveillance, nutrition, and communicable disease prevention within plantation communities.

• Ensure high-quality, evidence-based clinical services through structured clinical governance, up-to-date medical protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives across plantation and mill clinics.

• Ensure clinic licensing, operational permits, and medical personnel credentials comply with applicable laws and regulations, government inspections, and internal/external audits.

• Ensure medical services, licensing, and healthcare operations effectively support plantation and mill operating units, particularly in workforce readiness, regulatory obligations, and operational continuity.

• Conduct fitness‑for‑work evaluations, return‑to‑work assessments, and occupational medical recommendations to ensure employees are medically fit for assigned tasks and workplace health risks are adequately controlled.

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with third parties, both internal and external, including company departments (HR, HSE, Operations), government health offices, local health authorities, hospitals, clinics, insurance providers, and other relevant institutions to ensure regulatory compliance, effective referrals, and integrated occupational health management.

• Maintain accurate medical records, health surveillance data, and incident reports, and analyze health information using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to support management reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum requirement of 1 year relevant work experience.

• Valid and active Medical Registration (STR).

• Valid emergency certifications, including ATLS, ACLS, and Hiperkes, are mandatory.

• Ability to perform emergency medical response (triage, stabilization, trauma and acute care).

• Ability to manage occupational injuries and medical emergencies.

• Basic understanding of emergency response and medical evacuation procedures.

• Ability to maintain medical and incident documentation.

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Physically and mentally fit for emergency response, on‑call duty, and remote work environments.

• Willing to reside on-site and work flexible or on‑call schedules.

Preferred Required Qualifications:

• Experience as an EMS Doctor, ER/IGD Doctor, MCU or Company Doctor.

• Experience working in plantation, mill, mining, or other high‑risk industrial environments.

• Experience coordinating with hospitals, ambulance services, and local health authorities.

• Strong coordination and leadership skills during emergency situations.
