Role

The teacher will deliver engaging chemistry lessons, design and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, and assess student progress through assignments, tests, and practical experiments. Daily responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, conducting laboratory activities safely, providing individual and group support, and maintaining accurate records of student performance. The role involves collaborating with other teachers, participating in school meetings and events, and contributing to continuous improvement of the science program. The Chemistry Teacher is expected to create an inclusive classroom environment that motivates students and supports diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Strong subject-matter expertise in Chemistry Education, with a solid foundation in Physics as relevant to secondary or high school curricula.

• Demonstrated ability in Teaching and Lesson Planning, including designing structured, engaging, and practical chemistry lessons.

• Excellent Communication skills for explaining complex scientific concepts clearly and interacting effectively with students, colleagues, and families.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Education, Science Education, or a closely related field.

• Teaching certification or license appropriate to the local requirements is preferred.

• Experience conducting and supervising laboratory experiments with attention to safety standards.

• Ability to use educational technology and digital tools to support instruction and assessment.

• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory educational practices.

• Prior teaching experience in chemistry or science at school level is an advantage.
