Category Buyer

Job Description:

• Select initial product assortment based on market trends, consumer needs, and company strategy.

• Manage purchasing activities and order placement with suppliers.

• Allocate products to stores to ensure optimal stock distribution.

• Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, trading terms, and long-term cooperation.

• Set retail prices and develop promotional strategies to drive sales.

• Monitor category sales performance and analyze market trends for future decisions.

• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and evaluate supplier performance regularly.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Buying / Merchandising / Category Management (retail, FMCG, or multibrand preferred).

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Proficient in English (spoken and written) for communication with suppliers and business partners.

• Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to identify market trends and consumer behavior.

• Knowledge of supply chain, inventory management, and pricing strategy.

• Proactive, target-driven, and able to work under pressure.
