Business Development Director Data Center

About the role

Fully responsible for strategic planning, team building, client development, and project acquisition for the company's data center business in the Indonesian market, with the ability to operate this business segment as an independent business unit.

Key responsibilities

• Develop data center business strategies, market entry plans, and annual business targets

• Build the data center business team from the ground up, including market development, solutions, technical, and project development personnel

• Develop relationships with hyperscale data center operators, cloud service providers, telecommunications operators, industrial park developers, and investment institutions

• Identify project opportunities in data center investment, design, construction, power supply and distribution, cooling, and energy services

• Organize customer needs analysis, solution planning, project feasibility assessments, bidding, and commercial negotiations

• Coordinate internal design, procurement, construction, and financing resources to drive project signing and execution

About you

• Relevant experience in data centres, ICT infrastructure or large-scale mechanical and electrical engineering projects

• High profile and well-established professional networks within the data centre industry in Indonesia or South-East Asia

• Previous experience as a business lead or senior manager at a data centre operator, EPC firm, design consultancy or major equipment manufacturer

• Ability to independently establish a team, recruit key personnel or rapidly complete team recruitment

• Familiarity with data centre power supply and distribution, cooling, fire protection, low-voltage systems, DCIM and reliability requirements

• Understanding of Tier standards, PUE, green data centres and renewable energy power supply solutions

• A track record of successfully managing projects from initial lead generation through to contract signing and project completion
