PT Sarana Media Vision (SMV) is a company engaged in broadcasting, media services and content distribution. We are looking for a reliable Broadcast Engineer to ensure all broadcast systems run in a stable, secure, and high-quality manner.

Job Description
The Broadcast Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of broadcast systems, from studio, master control, and playout to signal transmission, ensuring broadcasts run without interruption and meet technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain broadcast equipment such as encoders/decoders, IRDs, video routers, switchers, playout servers, and monitoring systems.

• Handle signal transmission and reception (satellite, fiber, and IP/streaming), including audio and video quality checks.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly to minimize broadcast downtime.

• Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance and document the results.

• Install, configure, and test new equipment and systems.

• Prepare technical reports, operational logs, and system documentation.

• Coordinate with operations, IT, and vendors on technical requirements and projects.

• Be willing to work in shifts and be on call for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum Vocational High School (SMK) in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Networking, or a related field; Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree is a plus.

• Basic Understanding of video/audio formats and standards (SDI, HD/UHD, MPEG-2/H.264/HEVC, SMPTE).

• Basic knowledge of computer networking (TCP/IP, multicast, VLAN). Experience with broadcast over IP (SMPTE 2110, SRT, NDI) is a plus.

• Familiarity with test and measurement tools such as waveform monitors, spectrum analyzers, and audio meters is a plus.

• Able to analyze problems systematically and work under pressure.

• Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both spoken and written.

• Detail-oriented, responsible, and a strong team player.

Preferred

• Experience as a Broadcast Engineer or in a similar role in the broadcasting/media industry,

• Experience in satellite communications (uplink/downlink, RF, teleport operations).

• Certifications related to broadcasting, networking, or specific vendor equipment.
