Agronomist

About the role

PT INDO CAFCO, a leading coffee processing and export company, is seeking a qualified and passionate Agronomist to support sustainable coffee production and strengthen relationships with farmers across West Java.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and agronomic support to coffee farmers and supplier groups.
• Monitor and improve coffee cultivation practices, including soil management, fertilization, pruning, pest control, and harvesting.
• Conduct field visits and farm assessments to ensure compliance with quality and sustainability standards.
• Develop and implement farmer training programs and workshops.
• Collect, analyze, and report agricultural data and productivity metrics.
• Support sustainability and certification programs (e.g., Rainforest Alliance, Organic, etc.).
• Collaborate with purchasing and quality teams to improve coffee yield and bean quality.
• Stay updated on agricultural research, innovations, and best practices in coffee farming.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Plantation, Soil Science, or related field.
• Experience in agronomy, plantation management, or agricultural extension will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of plant nutrition, pest and disease management, and sustainable agriculture practices.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel frequently to rural farming areas.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia; English proficiency is an advantage.
• Valid driver's license (SIM A/C) preferred.
