Utility Supply Engineer

About the Role

Join PT Krakatau Posco as a Utility Supply Engineer! This role focuses on annual utility planning (supply & demand), consumption and efficiency evaluation, utility purchasing budget and cost control, improvement studies for utility facilities, and troubleshooting to ensure continuous utility availability.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor Degree of Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related field

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in utilities engineering, plant facilities, energy management, or utility operations.

• Experience in utility consumption planning and performance monitoring (supply & demand).

• Experience in budget planning and cost evaluation for utility purchasing is preferred.

• Experience supporting investment projects, shutdown planning, and contractor coordination

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability; able to deliver simple and direct solutions.

• Good communication skills to work with internal teams, contractors, and outsourced utility suppliers.

• Knowledge of safety inspection practices and risk assessment for utility facilities

What you'll be doing

• Create the annual utility supply & demand plan for the whole plant, including outsourced utility suppliers.

• Coordinate to control the balance of industrial gas, by-product gas, water, and steam supplies, and align emergency countermeasures during supply disruptions.

• Collaborate regarding plant routine inspections, utility pipeline patrol programs, equipment accuracy calibrations, and maintenance for GSF and WSF facilities.

• Track and analyze actual utility consumption and drive actions to improve energy/utility efficiency.

• Prepare and review utility purchase costs and unit prices and propose cost-saving or optimization opportunities.

• Evaluate utility system performance and provide clear, practical solutions to operational issues using available data and standard references.

• Troubleshoot utility facility problems to ensure continuous and stable utility supply to production.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and utility suppliers; prepare reports and maintain documentation.

• Able to make a detailed technical report related to the project’s progress
