About the role

We are seeking a Social Media & Marketing Staff member to join our team at Picket Fence Pre-School in Batam Kota, Riau Islands on a contract basis. This role is essential in building our digital presence and strengthening our connection with families and prospective parents in the community. As Social Media & Marketing Staff, you will be responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies that showcase our pre-school's values, activities and achievements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our growth whilst working within the vibrant early childhood education sector.

Key responsibilities

• Creating, curating and publishing engaging content across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and other relevant channels

• Developing and implementing social media marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement within the community

• Managing and monitoring social media accounts, responding to enquiries and fostering positive relationships with followers

• Designing visually appealing graphics, promotional materials and digital assets using appropriate design tools

• Capturing and editing photographs and videos of pre-school activities, events and student achievements for marketing purposes

• Coordinating and promoting pre-school events, open days and enrolment campaigns through digital channels

• Analysing social media performance metrics and providing regular reports on engagement, reach and campaign effectiveness

• Collaborating with staff to gather content ideas and ensure messaging aligns with pre-school values and objectives

• Supporting email marketing initiatives and newsletter production to keep families informed and engaged

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in social media management and digital marketing, ideally within the education or childcare sector

• Strong proficiency with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and emerging platforms

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft engaging, age-appropriate messaging for diverse audiences

• Demonstrated graphic design skills and experience with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar software

• Experience with basic photography and video editing for social media content

• Knowledge of social media analytics and the ability to interpret data to inform marketing strategies

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously

• Familiarity with early childhood education environments and understanding of child safeguarding principles

• Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian or local languages is highly desirable

• Passion for storytelling and the ability to authentically represent our pre-school's mission and values
