Smartphone Product Evaluator - KOL Gadget Review

Job Positioning

We are looking for a digital enthusiast who is passionate about smartphones, understands Indonesian users, and has the ability to conduct independent reviews.

As the team's "internal KOL", you will, based on the budget and usage needs of local users, experience the product and compare it with competing products, and use real evidence to clearly explain: what the phone does well, what its shortcomings are, whether it is worth choosing at the same price point, and what should be prioritized for improvement.

Core Responsibilities

1. Local Scenario Design

Combining Indonesian users' habits, KOL content and community feedback, design evaluation scenarios covering gaming, social shooting, short videos, mobile payment, mobility and battery life.

1. Mobile Phone Experience Review

Independently conduct tests on Android mobile phones, covering camera, performance, battery life, charging, display, audio, network and system. Focus on the sustained smoothness and heat generation of games, the effect from shooting to social sharing, as well as daily experiences such as payment, navigation and message notifications.

1. Competing Product Comparison and Evaluation

Conduct a fair comparison with competing products in the local market at the same price range, and illustrate the product’s strengths and weaknesses, target user groups and purchase tradeoffs based on its actual selling price, configurations and test evidence, so as to form an evaluation conclusion for the complete device.

1. Evaluation, Expression and Reporting

Capable of presenting key differences through short evaluation videos, comparative demonstrations or verbal explanations, and providing feedback to the product and R&D teams in English reports, with test conditions, procedures and results clearly documented.

1. User Feedback and Issue Closure

Track Indonesian KOLs and user comments, extract and verify key issues, submit reproducible feedback, track fixes and confirm experience improvements.

Job Requirements

• College diploma or above, no restriction on majors, and a passion for smartphones and digital products.

• Hands-on experience in actual testing of Android mobile phones, capable of designing test scenarios, reproducing issues, collecting evidence and compiling reports.

• Familiar with the Indonesian mobile phone market, user habits and key purchasing concerns, and capable of evaluating products in combination with budget and target groups.

• Understand the main software and hardware functions of mobile phones, be familiar with the content of local tech KOLs, and have the ability to make independent judgments and conduct competing product analysis.

• Fluent in Indonesian, with strong capabilities in reading and writing English reports as well as daily work communication.

• Familiar with common office software, and capable of using Word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar tools to organize data, compile reports and present results.

• Proactive and responsible at work, with teamwork skills and Time Management capabilities, able to work under pressure and ensure delivery quality within project deadlines.

Bonus points

• Have and consistently run personal tech accounts on platforms including YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, and have published original content such as smartphone reviews, competing product comparisons or phone purchase suggestions.

• Capable of shooting, screen recording, editing and explaining in front of the camera, and can intuitively present the experience differences.

• Have experience in tech communities or fan engagement, and be able to turn user questions into evaluation topics.
