Senior Accounting

About the role

This role involves managing daily accounting activities within a hotel environment, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation. You will prepare and review financial reports, reconcile multiple revenue streams, and ensure accurate financial record-keeping and month-end closing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation

• Prepare and review daily revenue reports, Daily Revenue Reports (DRR), and other hotel financial reports

• Reconcile room revenue, OTA transactions, payment gateways, credit card settlements, and other revenue streams

• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, management reports, budget reports, and financial analysis

• Ensure accurate revenue recognition, proper expenses allocation, and timely month-end closing

• Monitor accounts payable, receivables, city ledger, guest ledger, and outstanding balances

• Maintain strong internal controls over cash handling, purchasing, inventory, and financial transactions

• Coordinate with Front Office, Sales, Revenue Management, Purchasing, and other departments to resolve financial discrepancies

• Support internal and external audits and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry

• Strong understanding of hotel daily revenue reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting

• Familiarity with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) - VHP Cloud and Microsoft Excel

• High attention to detail, integrity, accountability, and confidentiality

• Able to work independently and meet reporting deadlines

• Previous experience as a Senior Accounting, Income Auditor, or General Ledger Accountant in a hotel (preferred)

• Experience with hotel accounting systems and OTA revenue reconciliation (preferred)

• Experience supporting financial audits and implementing internal control procedures (preferred)
