Senior Accountant, European global company

Our client is a European heavy industry company operating at the forefront of advanced technology, with a strong and growing market presence in Indonesia. They are seeking an experienced and professional Senior Accountant to join their team, reporting directly to the CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions

• Manage all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping functions with precision and accuracy

• Prepare error-free financial statements in accordance with established schedules and reporting requirements

• Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Manage full tax compliance, including calculation, withholding, payment, and filing of all applicable Indonesian taxes (PPh 21, 23, 25, 26, 4(2), and PPN/VAT)

• Ensure compliance with Indonesian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory standards

• Participate in internal and external audit processes to ensure adherence to compliance standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum of 8 years' working experience in accounting or a related role, including hands-on Indonesian tax compliance

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAGE, SAP FICO, or Xero)

• Strong understanding of tax regulations

• Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia
