About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Division Manager (Kalimantan Barat) to lead our retail operations across multiple sites in the Singkawang area of West Kalimantan. This is a full-time position that offers strategic responsibility for overseeing all aspects of retail management across your assigned territory. As Retail Division Manager, you will be instrumental in driving sales performance, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a high-performing team culture across all stores within your division. This role reports directly to senior management and is critical to the success of our retail expansion strategy in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop multiple retail stores within the Kalimantan Barat division, ensuring consistent delivery of company standards and objectives

• Drive sales performance and revenue growth across all assigned locations through effective strategy implementation and team leadership

• Oversee recruitment, training, and development of store managers and retail staff to build high-performing teams

• Monitor and manage operational efficiency, including inventory control, stock management, and loss prevention across all sites

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant retail regulations across the division

• Conduct regular site visits and performance reviews to assess store performance and identify areas for improvement

• Develop and execute local marketing initiatives and promotional strategies to maximise sales and customer engagement

• Manage budgets and financial performance across the division, ensuring cost control and profitability targets are met

• Build and maintain strong relationships with store teams, customers, and key stakeholders in the region

• Report regularly on divisional performance metrics to senior management and provide strategic recommendations for growth

What we're looking for

• Proven experience (5+ years) in retail management, ideally managing multiple sites or a division within the retail and consumer products sector

• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams

• Demonstrated track record of driving sales growth and improving operational performance in a retail environment

• Excellent financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, analyze performance data, and make data-driven decisions

• Strong knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, stock control, and loss prevention

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels

• Ability to work independently whilst maintaining collaborative relationships with head office functions

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business circumstances

• Flexibility to travel between multiple store locations within the Singkawang and West Kalimantan region

• Indonesian language proficiency (written and verbal) is essential

• Familiarity with the local Kalimantan market is advantageous
