Red Team (Cybersecurity)

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of cybersecurity systems

• Manage Firewall, IDS/IPS, NDR, SIEM, EDR, VPN, Security Gateway, and other security solutions

• Perform system hardening, patching, firmware/software updates, and security signature updates

• Manage firewall policies, security rules, access controls, and detection rules

• Monitor logs, alerts, security events, and network traffic to identify potential threats

• Conduct vulnerability assessment, security assessment, and security testing

• Support incident investigation, security alert handling, and troubleshooting

• Maintain configuration backup, recovery, technical documentation, and security reports

• Support security audits, compliance activities, and periodic security assessments

• Coordinate with IT, Network, Security Operations, vendors, and vessel operators

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related fields

• 2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, system engineering, or related fields

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLAN, VPN, firewall, and network segmentation

• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity system installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting

• Familiarity with Firewall, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR/NDR, VPN, Vulnerability Scanner, and security monitoring solutions

• Proficient in Linux and Windows Server administration

• Understanding of system hardening, vulnerability management, patch management, log management, and incident response

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills

• Willing to work on-site and onboard vessels as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Red Team, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Assessment, or Security Assessment.

• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and adversary simulation.

• Experience with tools such as Nmap, Wireshark, Burp Suite, Nessus/OpenVAS, or Metasploit.

• Cybersecurity/network certifications such as Security+, CEH, CySA+, OSCP, CISSP, CCNA/CCNP.

• Experience in maritime, critical infrastructure, OT/ICS, defense, or military environments.

• Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
