Marketing Officer/Supervisor (Commercial for Tanker Vessel)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any major; preferably Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Ocean/Offshore Engineering, Maritime, or related fields.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in shipping, maritime, commercial, or business development. Tanker experience is an advantage.

• Knowledge of tanker/shipping business and commercial operations is preferred.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in commercial calculations.

• Detail-oriented and well-organized, with strong documentation and problem-solving skills.

• Proactive and customer-oriented, with strong business development, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

• Computer literate and able to work effectively in a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities:                               

• Identify and secure suitable cargo opportunities to optimize vessel utilization.

• Develop new markets and customers while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and charterers.

• Monitor tanker market, economic, and geopolitical developments to identify potential business opportunities and market impacts.

• Assess cargo and vessel suitability, calculate and evaluate freight rates, and prepare commercial proposals.

• Negotiate freight rates and commercial terms with customers and business partners.

• Coordinate with Operations on vessel schedules, movements, and next-voyage planning.

• Manage and maintain accurate commercial and shipping-related documentation, including proposals, charter party documents, and related records.

• Prepare market updates and commercial presentations to support business decisions.
