Manager Risk & Claim

About the role

This role focuses on operational risk management and claim management across all business lines, with responsibility for internal and external communications and team oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) for all business lines

• Create and develop risk mitigation standard operating procedures (SOP)

• Review contracts with customers and vendors to ensure financial risks can be recovered, proposing additional clauses or preventive measures as needed

• Review and propose improvements to insurance terms and conditions as required

• Monitor all claims and ensure achievement of targets for successful claim submissions to insurance, vendors, and related parties

• Lead claim investigation processes for insurance submissions

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on all claims with potential for significant impact

• Prepare operational reports on a regular and ad-hoc basis as required by management

• Oversee team compliance with company regulations, code of ethics, and organisational values

• Ensure all activities comply with company procedures and government regulations

• Ability to communicate with external stakeholders including insurance companies, shipping providers, vendors, and customers
