Manager, Resource (Power & Green Energy)

About the role

You'll lead power and green-energy resource development for DayOne's data center projects in Batam, helping secure the capacity, infrastructure and approvals required for new sites and the continued delivery of the Kabil campus. Based in Batam, you'll represent DayOne in discussions with PLN, energy providers, government authorities, industrial park partners, consultants and other external stakeholders.

This is a strategic, stakeholder-facing position rather than a pure engineering role. You'll translate technical requirements into practical development and commercial strategies, coordinate internal teams, and drive power solutions from early feasibility through agreement, connection and energisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop power resource strategies for Batam projects, including power-resource planning for potential sites and support for enhancement of existing power delivery at Kabil
• Assess power demand, grid availability, connection routes, delivery schedules, constraints and development risks during site evaluation and project planning
• Coordinate technical and commercial feasibility assessments for utility supply, substations, transmission and distribution infrastructure, and on-site power solutions
• Maintain clear resource-development plans, milestones, dependencies and risk registers aligned with project and business timelines
• Act as a key DayOne representative with PLN, government authorities, energy providers, industrial park operators, consultants and infrastructure partners
• Lead discussions on power capacity, new connections, connection schedules, energisation, service reliability and future expansion requirements
• Support negotiations covering tariffs, connection arrangements, supply terms, infrastructure responsibilities and other commercial conditions
• Coordinate permits, approvals, technical submissions and stakeholder actions required to progress power-development activities
• Identify and evaluate renewable-energy options, including green tariffs, renewable energy certificates, solar, battery energy storage and other suitable solutions
• Work with Development, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Procurement and Operations to align power strategies with technical, commercial and operational requirements

About you

• A recognised bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy, Infrastructure, Business, Project Management or a related field
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in power, utilities, renewable energy, infrastructure development or a closely related specialisation
• Practical experience developing power solutions in Indonesia, including engagement with PLN on capacity, connections, substations, energisation or supply arrangements
• Understanding of grid infrastructure, utility-development processes, electricity tariffs and the commercial considerations affecting large power users
• Experience coordinating technical, commercial, legal and regulatory workstreams and converting complex inputs into clear recommendations and actions
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to represent the business in external discussions
• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and working proficiency in English
• Willingness to be based in Batam and travel as required
