Junior Accountant

Job Summary

The Junior Accounting Consultant supports the Finance & Accounting team in delivering accurate financial records, reports, and advisory support to internal stakeholders and/or clients. This role is ideal for early-career accounting professionals who want to build a strong foundation in financial analysis, bookkeeping, tax compliance, and client-facing consultation, while working closely with senior consultants to develop technical and professional skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate financial statements and reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).

• Support day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.

• Help prepare tax documentation and ensure compliance with applicable local tax regulations.

• Assist senior consultants in client meetings, gathering financial data, and preparing supporting analysis.

• Conduct basic financial analysis to support business decisions (variance analysis, budget tracking, cost analysis).

• Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation and audit trails.

• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing requested schedules and documentation.

• Identify discrepancies or irregularities in financial data and escalate to senior team members.

• Continuously learn accounting standards, software tools, and industry best practices.

• Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship experience is a plus).

• Basic understanding of accounting principles (PSAK/IFRS as applicable) and tax regulations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Accurate, SAP, Xero, or similar) is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• High integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
