Injection Molding Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Setting up new injection molding production area including layout preparation, Machine-Equipment List, Material Flow, and other utility requirements.

• Operate, monitor and optimize injection molding process to ensure stable production and product quality.

• Set up and adjust injection molding machines, molds and process parameter according to production requirements.

• Troubleshoot molding defects, including short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage and other quality issues.

• Conduct mold trials, process validation and parameter optimization for new and existing products.

• Analyze production problems and implement corrective and preventive action actions to reduce defects and downtime.

• Leading the manufacturing efficiency improvement across the injection molding production area.

• Monitor key production indicators (KPI), including cycle time, scrap rate, machine utilization and process capability.

• Support new product introduction (NPI), mold installation and process improvement activities.

• Develop and maintain work instructions, process parameter sheets and other technical documentation

• Ensure compliance with company standard, safety requirements and manufacturing procedure.

• Recruiting and training the new team in injection molding production such as operator and technician.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in injection molding engineering, preferably in plastic parts manufacturing or the electronic manufacturing or the home appliance industry.

• Strong understanding of injection molding machines, mold structures, plastic materials and molding processes.

• Experience in troubleshooting molding defects and optimizing process parameter

• Familiarity with mold trials, mold maintenance coordination and production quality improvement.

• Experience with engineering plastics such as ABS, PP, PU, PC and other thermoplastic materials.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and other continuous improvement methodologies

• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.

• Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Able to communicate in English
