Import Specialist

What you'll be doing

1. Coordinate end-to-end import operations for finished goods and raw materials, liaising with customs authorities, freight forwarders, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.

2. Develop import forecasts and supply chain plans based on current stock levels, sales trends, and projected demand to support accurate supply chain forecasting, inventory planning, and timely replenishment.

3. Establish and monitor supply chain timelines, including purchase order placement, supplier lead times, shipment schedules, customs clearance, and final delivery, ensuring alignment with operational requirements.

4. Ensure all import documentation, including customs declarations and other regulatory documents, is accurately prepared and submitted in a timely manner to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

5. Monitor and analyze import and supply chain data to identify potential delays, forecast discrepancies, and operational bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.

6. Stay up to date with changes in import regulations, tariffs, and trade policies, assessing their potential impact on supply chain planning and adjusting processes accordingly.

7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Warehouse, and Finance to improve demand planning, coordinate supply chain activities, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 4 years of experience in import operations, preferably in the Pharmaceutical or FMCG industry

2. Thorough understanding of import regulations, customs procedures, and trade policies

3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex import-related issues

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders

5. A team player with a proactive and adaptable approach to work

6. English language is required for this position
