HSE Manager

About the role

PT Eternal Buana Chemical Industries is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join our team in Cikupa Banten. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental standards across our construction operations. As HSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programmes that protect our workforce, assets, and the environment. This role is integral to our commitment to operational excellence and regulatory compliance within the construction industry.

Key responsibilities

• Developing and implementing HSE policies, procedures, and protocols in alignment with Indonesian legislation and international best practices

• Conducting regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

• Leading incident investigation processes, documenting findings, and implementing corrective and preventative measures

• Providing HSE training and awareness programmes to all staff and contractors across construction sites

• Managing HSE documentation, records, and reporting systems to ensure accurate regulatory compliance and reporting

• Liaising with government agencies and regulatory bodies on HSE matters and permit requirements

• Monitoring and evaluating HSE performance metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement

• Developing emergency response and disaster management plans, including regular drills and simulations

• Mentoring and supervising junior HSE personnel and ensuring team competency development

• Collaborating with project managers and operational teams to integrate HSE considerations into all construction activities

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-7 years' experience in HSE management, preferably within the construction or petrochemical industries

• Strong knowledge of Indonesian HSE regulations, including Law No. 1 of 1970 on Occupational Safety and other relevant legislation

• Professional HSE qualifications such as OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, or equivalent certification

• Proven expertise in risk assessment, hazard analysis, and safety management systems

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels

• Demonstrated ability to lead HSE initiatives and drive cultural change within organisations

• Competency in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in HSE reporting, data analysis, and performance monitoring

• Knowledge of international standards such as ISO 45001 is advantageous

• Fluency in both Indonesian and English, written and verbal, is essential
