Head of Internal Audit

About the role

We are seeking a strategic and business-oriented Head of Internal Audit to lead the internal audit function across our palm oil plantation operations. The role will provide independent assurance and strategic insights to strengthen corporate governance, enhance risk management, and drive operational effectiveness and sustainable business performance.

Key responsibilities:

1. Develop and lead a risk-based internal audit strategy aligned with business objectives.

2. Provide strategic insights on key business risks, internal controls, governance, and operational performance across plantation operations.

3. Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, safeguard company assets, and improve operational efficiency.

4. Partner with senior management to address critical risks and ensure effective implementation of corrective actions.

5. Lead and develop a high-performing internal audit team while maintaining independence and professional integrity.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

2. Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with the most recent position at Senior Manager level or above.

3. Experience in the palm oil plantation industry is highly preferred.

4. Professional Internal Audit certification, such as CIA, is highly preferred.

5. Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

6. High integrity, sound professional judgment, and willingness to travel regularly to operational sites.
