Foreman (Mandarin)

About the role

This role serves as a communication bridge and production supervisor in a manufacturing environment, translating instructions and technical information from Mandarin-speaking management to local production teams, while overseeing work activities and ensuring compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Translate instructions, directions, and technical information from Mandarin-speaking supervisors to local employees

• Act as a communication liaison between expatriate management or supervisors and local production teams

• Oversee employee work activities to ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and production targets

• Ensure work instructions are understood and executed correctly by the team

• Monitor team discipline, attendance, productivity, and performance

• Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve operational obstacles

• Report production results, operational problems, and target achievements to supervisors

• Ensure implementation of occupational safety and health (K3) in the work area

• Assist in employee training and skills development processes

• Ensure accurate communication and reporting between both parties

About you

• Minimum education: SMA/SMK; D3/S1 preferred

• Able to communicate in Mandarin Chinese verbally with proficiency

• Able to read and write Mandarin Chinese (valued)

• Able to translate work instructions from Mandarin to Indonesian and vice versa

• Experience as a foreman, production leader, or translator in a manufacturing environment (valued)

• Possess leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities

• Understand production processes, SOPs, and K3 implementation

• Able to operate basic Microsoft Office

• Willing to work shift systems and meet production targets
