Floor Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Floor Manager to join our team at Bread Yard in Bali. This is a full-time position based in our Bali location, where you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences to our guests. As Floor Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our dining and service areas, ensuring that every guest receives outstanding service while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency. This position is integral to maintaining Bread Yard's reputation as a premier hospitality destination.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage floor staff to ensure efficient service delivery and adherence to company standards

• Welcome guests and manage seating arrangements to optimise the dining experience and table turnover

• Monitor service quality throughout service periods and address any guest concerns or issues promptly

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations across all service areas

• Train and develop team members, providing coaching and performance feedback

• Manage reservations, walk-in guests and special events to maximise occupancy and revenue

• Liaise between front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service operations

• Handle guest complaints and concerns with professionalism and tact, seeking resolutions that maintain satisfaction

• Monitor inventory, supplies and equipment used in service areas

• Contribute to the development and implementation of operational procedures and service standards

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in hospitality management, preferably in a restaurant or similar service-oriented environment

• Proven track record of successfully managing and leading floor service teams

• Strong knowledge of hospitality service standards and best practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests and staff effectively

• Outstanding customer service orientation with an ability to handle challenging situations gracefully

• Leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop team members

• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail pairing basics

• Familiarity with hospitality management systems and point-of-sale technology

• Fluency in English; additional languages such as Indonesian or Mandarin are advantageous

• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
