Experienced Accountant – Bali Office

About the role

Ibex is seeking an experienced accountant to join our Bali office. We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and confident managing accounting tasks, meeting deadlines and communicating with colleagues and clients. This role suits an accountant who takes ownership of their work and maintains a high standard of accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks across multiple clients.

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and general ledger balances.

• Prepare financial reports, supporting schedules and workpapers.

• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.

• Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations.

• Identify discrepancies, resolve accounting queries and follow up on missing information.

• Support senior accountants with month-end and year-end processes.

• Maintain accurate client records and handle confidential information responsibly.

• Follow internal procedures and contribute ideas to improve workflows.

About you

• Previous experience in an accounting firm or a similar accounting role.

• A degree or relevant qualification in accounting or finance.

• Sound understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Experience using accounting software or ability to quickly learn systems such as Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks.

• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with digital systems.

• Good written and spoken English.

• Strong attention to detail, time management and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with an office-based team.

• Based in Bali, or willing to relocate, and available to work from our Bali office.

• Experience supporting Australian clients or working with Australian accounting processes will be highly regarded.
