English Teacher

Jakarta Academics is seeking a dynamic and dedicated English Teacher to join our faculty team. The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality English instruction to high school students, developing students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, and fostering effective communication through engaging and meaningful learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver lessons to IGCSE, A Level and Foundation Level students as per the syllabus.

• Evaluate and grade students’ classwork, assignments and papers.

• Compile, administer, verify and grade examinations.

• Prepare course material such as syllabus, homework, assignments and handouts relevant to the real-life 21st-century business world.

• Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.

• Initiate, facilitate and moderate classroom discussions.

• Plan, evaluate and revise course content, materials and methods of instruction.

• Able to use digital tools that can be integrated into teaching.

• Willing to join professional development training on regular basis.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English Education, English Literature, or a related field.

• Excellent English proficiency, both written and spoken.

• Experience teaching high school students is preferred.

• Familiarity with international curricula, such as Pearson Edexcel, is an advantage.

• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

• Able to create engaging lessons and adapt teaching methods to students’ learning needs.

• Passionate, responsible, and committed to student development.
