Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager leads the end-to-end delivery of civil, mechanical, and electrical projects across the plant — from RAB preparation and project charter through execution, cost & schedule control, and project closing. The role owns the full project lifecycle, ensuring every project is delivered within the approved scope, schedule, and budget, and to the company's quality and safety standards. Beyond project delivery, the manager is accountable for plant reliability and maintenance, covering preventive maintenance planning for production equipment and machinery, leading the technical team through troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems, and coordinating machine repairs, overhauls, and upgrades with internal teams and external partners — all with the goal of minimizing production downtime.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project planning & budgeting: Prepare RAB for every civil, mechanical, and electrical project; develop project charters, timelines, milestones, and budgets.

2. Execution & control: Coordinate all project activities from initiation to closing, supervise progress on-site, and ensure delivery on scope, schedule, and budget.

3. Risk & problem solving: Identify potential project obstacles early, build mitigation and contingency plans, and resolve critical issues quickly without derailing the main project targets.

4. Maintenance & reliability: Develop preventive maintenance plans, direct the team through end-to-end troubleshooting, and coordinate machine repairs, overhauls, and upgrades to minimize downtime.

5. Stakeholder & vendor management: Manage contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders across departments.

6. Quality, safety & compliance: Ensure all deliverables meet technical specifications and company quality standards, with zero major safety incidents and full compliance with regulations and company procedures.

7. Team leadership: Lead a cross-functional project team and foster a results-driven, continuous-improvement culture.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline.

2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a comparable engineering / project management/ maintenance role.

3. Proven hands-on experience across civil, electrical, and mechanical work, with a solid track record in the manufacturing industry.

4. Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent design software.

5. Strong project management capability — managing projects to target across scope, schedule, and budget — supported by solid budget management and risk management skills.

6. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems, including machine overhauls, upgrades, and preventive maintenance planning.

7. Demonstrated leadership: able to lead teams effectively, drive cross-functional coordination, and follow through to completion.

8. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with a diplomatic approach to managing stakeholders and resolving conflict.

9. Structured and detail-oriented in both planning and execution; proactive without waiting for direction, and data-driven when making recommendations and decisions.

10. Confident in voicing a different point of view professionally.
