EHS Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 2+ years of environmental, health, and safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, RCRA, and EHS regulatory requirements.

• Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety compliance activities.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in safety management software

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.

• Experience supporting ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems.

• Experience with industrial hygiene, hazardous waste management, and chemical safety programs.

• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.

• Professional EHS certifications (ASP, CSP, CHMM) preferred.

• Willing to be based in Batang, Central Java.

Job Descriptions:

• Develop and implement health and safety programs to meet regulatory requirements and company standards

• Conduct hazard studies (such as HAZID and HAZOP) to spot and rank workplace or process dangers.

• Make sure company sites follow local laws, global safety rules, and standards like ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

• Build, test, and update policies that keep daily work safe.

• Lead root-cause reviews for accidents or near-misses and fix the gaps so they do not happen again.

• Design rescue drills, fire safety plans, and spill responses.

• Measure waste, air emissions, and water runoff to match legal limits.

• Walk the floor to check equipment, scaffolding, permits, and personal protective gear (PPE).

• Run safety talks, teach emergency steps, and build a culture of safety.
