About the role

This role involves planning, assigning, and coordinating daily truck and driver schedules based on customer orders and operational priorities. You will arrange container pickup and delivery schedules across ports, depots, warehouses, and customer locations, monitor truck movements, and ensure timely operations. You will coordinate with drivers, customers, operations staff, and port/depot personnel, provide clear job instructions, track trip progress, and proactively handle delays and operational issues.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and coordinate daily truck and driver schedules based on customer orders and operational priorities

• Arrange container pickup and delivery schedules, including port, depot, warehouse, and customer locations

• Monitor truck movements and ensure timely pickup, delivery, and return of containers

• Coordinate with drivers, customers, operations staff, port/depot personnel, and other relevant parties

• Provide clear job instructions to drivers, including locations, schedules, container details, and delivery requirements

• Track trip progress and proactively handle delays, traffic issues, schedule changes, and operational problems

• Ensure all trip documents, delivery orders, container interchange receipts (EIR), proof of delivery, and other relevant records are complete

• Record and update trip status, driver assignments, fuel or cash advances, and operational expenses as required

• Report delays, incidents, additional costs, and operational discrepancies to the supervisor

• Prepare daily dispatch reports and maintain accurate operational data

About you

• Minimum high school/vocational school graduate (SMA/SMK); logistics or transportation-related education is an advantage

• Previous experience in trucking, freight forwarding, logistics operations, or dispatching is preferred

• Familiarity with container trucking operations, ports, depots, and delivery procedures is a strong advantage

• Good communication and coordination skills, especially when dealing with drivers and customers

• Able to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and make practical decisions quickly

• Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, honest, and responsible

• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, WhatsApp, and basic computer applications

• Able to prepare reports and maintain accurate operational records

• Willing to work flexible hours when required by operational needs

• Able to work independently while coordinating effectively with the operations team
