Customer Service (Chinese)

About the role

We are seeking a Customer Service (Chinese) professional to join PT Venturindo Jaya Batam on a contract basis. This is a pivotal role within our client and sales administration team, providing essential support to our Chinese-speaking clientele. Based in Batam, Kepulauan Riau, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism, efficiency and cultural sensitivity. This position is fundamental to maintaining strong client relationships and supporting our sales objectives through exceptional service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via telephone, email and other communication channels in Chinese and English

• Provide accurate information about products and services to support customer decision-making

• Process customer orders, requests and complaints efficiently and accurately

• Maintain detailed and organised customer records and documentation

• Liaise between customers and internal departments to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and loyalty

• Follow up with customers regarding their inquiries, orders and feedback

• Contribute to the development of customer service procedures and best practices

• Meet or exceed performance targets related to response times, accuracy and customer satisfaction

What we're looking for

• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken) with strong English proficiency

• Proven customer service experience in a professional environment, preferably in sales administration or a client-facing role

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly and listen actively

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple customer interactions

• Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Problem-solving mindset with a customer-first approach

• Professional demeanour and cultural awareness when interacting with diverse clientele

• Patience, empathy and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction
