Cost Controller

About the role

A Cost Controller role responsible for managing budgets, monitoring inventory flow, and controlling operational costs across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage operational budgets in collaboration with various departments based on historical data and projections

• Oversee the movement of goods in and out of the warehouse (store) and manage the goods receiving process

• Review and verify purchase documents including Purchase Orders (PO), market price lists, and goods requisition documents

• Conduct periodic physical inventory counts (weekly or monthly) to ensure field stock aligns with accounting records

• Monitor consumption of raw materials, food, beverages, and supplies to identify waste or usage spikes

• Prepare cost reports including daily flash cost reports, weekly reports, and monthly reports such as Cost of Product or variance analysis

• Compare actual costs against established budgets and prevent budget overruns

• Review PR DML and SR for departmental expenditures with appropriate documentation
