Compliance Analyst/KYC Officer - FinTech

Coinut is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to join our growing team and work closely with our Compliance Officer. As a Compliance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations adhere to all relevant regulations and industry standards. 

Job Responsibilities

• Act as part of the first line of defense, providing independent oversight and challenge of first line AML/CFT controls

• Review and assess effectiveness of compliance frameworks across crypto-related activities

• Conduct periodic KYC reviews and ensure customer information is accurate and up to date

• Reassess customer risk ratings and escalate for enhanced due diligence where required

• Perform due diligence on outsourced providers and third-party vendors

• Monitor and assess ongoing risks related to outsourcing arrangements

• Oversee and review transaction monitoring alerts, including crypto/blockchain activity

• Ensure proper investigation, escalation, and documentation of suspicious transactions

• Challenge effectiveness of transaction monitoring rules, thresholds, and scenarios

• Execute compliance monitoring and testing activities

• Identify control gaps and recommend remediation actions

• Support internal audits and regulatory reviews

• Monitor completion of mandatory compliance training across the organization

• Support delivery of compliance training sessions (e.g., AML, sanctions, crypto risks)

• Assist in developing and updating training materials and slide content

• Review and update compliance policies, procedures, and internal documentation

• Ensure training and policy content aligns with current regulatory expectations and crypto risk landscape.

• Participate in internal and external audits.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in legal, accountancy, finance, business, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Compliance Associate or Analyst in the cryptocurrency or financial industry.

• Understanding of regulatory requirements in the cryptocurrency space.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in both English and Chinese.

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

• Relevant compliance certificate(s) would be a strong plus.
