Chief Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee engineering operations, facility maintenance, and technical services across hospitality properties. The ideal candidate is hands-on, responsive, and capable of leading a technical team to maintain safe and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance of buildings, guest rooms, facilities, and technical equipment.

• Implement preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshoot equipment issues.

• Supervise electrical, plumbing, AC/HVAC, generators, water systems, and swimming pool maintenance.

• Manage engineering staff, spare parts inventory, external vendors, and utility costs.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and building maintenance requirements.

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 5–8 years of hotel or resort engineering experience, including 2–3 years in a leadership role.

• Experience managing a technical team and maintaining hotel facilities or villa properties.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, pumps, generators, and water treatment.

• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and responsive in resolving technical issues.

• Conversational English skills for daily operational communication and reporting.
