Captain Waitress

About the role

The Captain Waitress leads the front-of-house service team, ensuring seamless dining operations, high service standards, and excellent guest satisfaction. This role acts as the bridge between floor staff and the kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily floor operations and ensure service standards are maintained throughout shifts.

• Supervise, guide, and support waitstaff during pre-service setup, service hours, and closing procedures.

• Inspect and double-check food and beverage items before they leave the kitchen/bar area to ensure accuracy, proper presentation, and temperature standards (Checker duty).

• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and resolve complaints promptly with professionalism.

• Assist in taking orders, presenting menus, and upselling specials or beverage pairings.

• Coordinate closely with the kitchen and bar teams to track order execution and ensure timely food delivery.

• Conduct briefing sessions with floor staff to communicate daily specials, target sales, or operational updates.

About you

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a waitress, with prior experience as an Order Checker or Floor Supervisor preferred.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• High attention to detail regarding food plating, presentation, and order completeness.

• In-depth knowledge of food and beverage menus, service etiquette, and POS systems.

• Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

• Professional, well-groomed and a strong customer-centric mindset.
