About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join the team at Collagen Glow in Bali. This is a part-time position offering the perfect opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality environment whilst maintaining flexibility in your schedule. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional beverage experiences to our guests, contributing to the overall ambiance and reputation of our establishment. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer service will be instrumental in creating memorable moments for our clientele.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and serving high-quality espresso-based beverages and other hot and cold drinks to customers

• Operating and maintaining espresso machines and other coffee equipment to ensure consistent quality

• Taking customer orders accurately and providing friendly, efficient service

• Creating latte art and specialty beverages according to established standards

• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including cleaning and sanitising equipment

• Managing the inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups and other beverage ingredients

• Processing payments and handling cash transactions accurately

• Engaging with customers in a professional and personable manner to enhance their experience

• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations during service periods

• Adhering to health and safety guidelines and food handling regulations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar bar and beverage role within the hospitality industry

• Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing techniques and espresso machine operation

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and presentation

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders simultaneously

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings and weekends as required

• Food hygiene certification or willingness to obtain one

• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and developing barista skills
