Asphlat QC Laboratory Supervisor

Location: PT Baria Bulk Terminal – Merak

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in asphalt (bitumen), petrochemical, or related laboratory environments.

• Strong background in chemical analysis and laboratory testing.

• Hands-on experience in: Bitumen blending, Asphalt formulation and modification, Quality Control (QC), Product testing and evaluation, Experienced in analyzing laboratory instrument data and preparing technical reports.

• Familiar with asphalt testing methods and laboratory equipment.

• Good understanding of quality assurance systems and laboratory best practices.

• Good command of written and spoken English.

• Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to supervise laboratory activities and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with PMB (Polymer Modified Bitumen) and PEB (Polymer Emulsion Bitumen).

• Knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, EN, or other relevant bitumen testing standards.

• Experience in petrochemical, asphalt manufacturing, or road construction material industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily laboratory operations and testing activities.

• Conduct and review bitumen quality analysis and testing results.

• Monitor blending, formulation, and quality control processes.

• Ensure compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and industry regulations.

• Prepare technical reports and provide recommendations based on laboratory findings.

• Coordinate with production, technical, and commercial teams to support business objectives.
