About the role

QMPP (Qingda Maspion Paper Products) is seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager who speaks Mandarin to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This is a full-time position based in Sidoarjo, East Java, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to our paper products manufacturing operations. As Assistant Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production department, ensuring operational efficiency, quality standards, and seamless coordination between our international and local teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Production Manager in overseeing daily manufacturing operations and ensuring production targets are met consistently

• Monitor production schedules, resource allocation, and equipment utilisation to optimise operational efficiency

• Conduct quality inspections and implement quality control measures to maintain product standards and compliance

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including maintenance and supply chain to ensure smooth production workflows

• Serve as a liaison between the Chinese management team and local operations, providing Mandarin language support for meetings, documentation, and communications

• Identify process improvements and operational inefficiencies, recommending solutions to enhance productivity

• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation for regulatory and operational purposes

• Assist in training and supervising production staff, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement

• Respond to production issues promptly, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective actions

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the production facility

What we're looking for

• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken) – this is essential for effective communication with our Chinese management team

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a production management or assistant manager role within manufacturing, preferably in the paper, packaging, or similar industrial sector

• Strong knowledge of production processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality management systems

• Proficiency in English language communication, both written and verbal

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in supervising or coordinating with production teams

• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset to identify and resolve operational challenges

• Familiarity with production scheduling software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications

• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance standards in manufacturing

• Ability to work shifts when required and adapt to changing production demands

• A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and process optimisation
