Accounting Intern

About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join PT GWS Era Medika on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning their career in accounting and financial reporting to gain practical experience in a professional healthcare environment. As an Accounting Intern, you will support the finance team in day-to-day accounting operations, assisting with financial record-keeping, transaction processing, and reporting tasks. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in accounting principles and practices whilst contributing meaningfully to the organisation's financial operations.

Key responsibilities

1. Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of general ledger accounts and supporting documents

2. Processing and recording financial transactions, including invoices, receipts and expense reports

3. Performing bank reconciliation and assisting with cash management activities

4. Supporting the preparation of monthly and periodic financial statements and reports

5. Conducting data entry and verification of accounting information to ensure accuracy and completeness

6. Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks

7. Supporting the organisation's compliance with financial policies and procedures

8. Assisting with the maintenance of accounting records and filing systems

9. Performing other administrative and accounting support duties as assigned by the finance team

What we're looking for

1. Recently completed a degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

2. Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices

3. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software applicationts

4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

5. Professional demeanour and dependability

6. Preferred experience: previous internship or volunteer experience in an accounting or finance role
